Today we took advantage of great weather and great friends and were able to get some new pictures of our family. The seminary was a beautiful backdrop and the boys had a blast running around between pictures. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites.

Jonathan and Ashley
Some precious friends of mine asked if I would take a picture of them for their Christmas card. I jumped at the opportunity and had a wonderful time with them. They are a beautiful couple who love the Lord. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from today. Thank you Jonathan and Ashley for asking me to take your pictures. You are such a blessing to my family and we love you very much!

The Polar Express
For Christmas last year my parents gave all the children tickets to ride the Polar Express in Bryson City, NC. The only catch was that we had to wait until last weekend to go. It was worth the wait. We had a blast!
For those that have never read the book, or seen the movie, the Polar Express is a train that takes children to the North Pole to see Santa. All the kids in the movie are wearing their pajamas, as the train comes in the middle of the night, and are served hot chocolate while on board. It was so much fun to see all the children dressed in their pj's, coats and hats waiting for the train!!!
So, here are just some of the pictures from this past weekend. There were 13 of us in the RV that my parents rented for the 7 hour trip there. And thanks to a blown tire, the 11 hour trip back!!!
Thank you Mom and Dad for our trip. It was so much fun from beginning to end. We will never forget it.

pray for the innocent
Please take a minute and read and sign the following. Though I respect the office that President Elect Obama holds, I do not agree with many of his ideas for our country. This one especially.
In the greatest country in the world, we kill the children and save the trees.
Oh LORD, how far we have strayed from You.
Every child should be born.
We must fight and pray for the lives of the innocent.
Read the Truth. Follow the Word. Save the children.

Caleb for president
Today Caleb, my 5 year old, and I were discussing Mr. Obama and Mr. McCain and what they believed. We talked about taxes, health care, and I started to bring up abortion, but stopped myself, fearing he was too young to hear about it. I had begun to say that Mr. McCain believes that if a mommy can't take care of her child, she should give it up for adoption. Caleb asked what Mr. Obama believed, and I told him that he believed there was something else Mommy's could do that Daddy and I don't think is right. The rest of the conversation went something like this:
Caleb: What do those mommies do?
Me: I don't want to tell you until you're a little older. But daddy and I think it's wrong.
Caleb: Do they kill the babies?
Me: Yes, how did you know that?
Caleb: I just guessed. Doesn't that hurt the babies?
Me: Yes, it does very much.
Caleb: Are they in the mommy's tummies still or not.
Me: They are still in the mommy's tummy, yes.
Caleb: Why don't they just let someone else have the baby?
Me: I don't know.
Caleb: Does Mr. Obama love God?
Me: He says he believes is God, so I guess he does.
(Caleb was quiet for a moment, then said)
Caleb: But the 6th commandment says "do not kill." If Mr. Obama loves God, why does he think it's ok to kill babies?
Me: I don't know kiddo. I really don't know.

Ben's worship
Ben learned this song at preschool. He wouldn't sing because I had the camera, but he can sing and sign the whole song. This might be the sweetest thing I've ever seen him do.
