Two peas in a pod

A very sweet friend of mine just gave birth to her second set of boy/girl twins. When I was given the opportunity to go to the hospital and take some pictures of them, my heart just melted. One brand new little baby is sweet enough, but you throw another one in the mix and it's all over for me. I could not take enough pictures. Not nearly enough. So, I pleaded with my friend to let me come back later next week to do a full session. They are going to have to kick me out...seriously. So, D Family, I hope you enjoy these pictures. A single chip

I've been feeling under the weather the past couple of days with a cold, and actually felt a pang of hunger for the first time today. It's probably due to the fact that I just bathed my youngest in my warm vanilla brown sugar body wash, and he smells like candy.  Anyway,  seeing that I can't smell anything, and therefore taste anything I went to the pantry looking for something healthy that I could taste.  I came out with dark chocolate chips, completely failing at the mission.  But, I'm not going to just sit and eat chocolate chips, I must justify them in some way.  Peanut butter!  Of course.  And now we have all natural peanut butter in our house...completely good for you.  And to really make this a healthy snack, I'll put it on a leftover half a banana, because portion size is important. 

So, as I scooped out the peanut butter on each bite of the banana, and delicately place three chips on top, Luke comes over asking for a "nak" (snack) of his own.  I offer him Cheerios...obviously, I'm leading by example here. He says no.  Then raisins.  No.  He points to the banana.  He loves bananas.  So, he points to the banana and says, " Chocolate."  Hmmmm.  Learning new words I see.  Ok, he can have one chocolate chip.  What can it hurt?  I was amazed at the outcome.  And just so you can see for yourself, I gave him another one while taking pics. 

Warning: the following pictures may make you hungry for sugar.  Chocolate, baby, or otherwise.  On the other hand it might make you loose your appetite.  Either way, I think it's funny. 

The frozen pizza fiasco

I recently purchased a frozen pizza from the store. I was excited about this pizza. The box made it look yummy.  See all the gooey cheese and abundance of toppings?  Mmmmmmmmm.

Then I opened it...

Really? That's it? That's supposed to be a supreme pizza? Um, yeah. That's ridiculous. What a rip off. It's like a dollar per pepperoni.  The cheese didn't even cover all the sauce.  So, in the heat of the moment I emailed this company explaining to them why I was so upset with their sad little excuse for a pizza and that I would not be buying anything from them again. 

Time passed and I forgot about it.  

Then, surprisingly, I received this in the mail.

And these...

I guess the squeaky wheel really does get the grease...or in this case, two free mediocre frozen pizzas.  You know I'm just going to figure out which is the most expensive ones and get those.  Don't even start to judge me, you would do the same thing.  Yes, you would. 

Snow

Just in case you haven't heard, it snowed in NC last week.  Streets were iced, schools were closed, grocery stores jacked up their prices, and it actually snowed.  So, here are some pictures of our adventures over the past couple of days.  We've all thawed out and Luke learned a new word, "Noooooo." (snow)  There's talk about more frozen precipitation this weekend, but I'm going to believe it when I see it. 

The L Family

Even though we saw snow this weekend, I was able to get a session in before the weather turned. This family was so kind and flexible. We even got some great pics of their huge sweet dogs! I hope you like your sneak peek L family. It was great working with you.

I'm soooo behind...

Even though this session actually happened back in November, AND the family already has their cd, AND  I should actually be editing right now I wanted to post them.  I enjoyed this session.  I enjoyed meeting this family.  I hope you enjoy the pictures.  

Luke's Shiner

Luke fell down a couple of stairs yesterday.

Now he's got a shiner.
